The AFRH Advisory Council provides direction.

The AFRH Advisory Council provides guidance and recommendations to the AFRH on its administration and the quality of care provided to Residents. Membership on the Advisory Council is stipulated per Federal legislation in the United States Code and includes AFRH staff, DoD leadership, local Veterans’ Affairs representatives, and former military.

The Council is established under the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) and documents related to the AFRH Advisory Council can be found on the FACA database. Council members attend two meetings a year and submit an annual report to the AFRH.

Reports have not been finalized since 2015 and all DoD-sponsored committees were halted in 2021 by the Secretary of Defense pending review. We have re-established the Advisory Council and will publish any reports received from the current panel on this page.
