The Office of Equal Employment Opportunity seeks to deliver a quality, comprehensive EEO program for employees of the Armed Forces Retirement Home in a manner that fosters a harmonious environment where all employees are valued. This comprehensive program delivery includes - investigating complaints; alternative dispute mediation; providing education, oversight and training for managers and employees and the coordination of special emphasis programs.

As of Monday, January 21, 2007, the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) services for the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) will no longer be handled at the AFRH.
The General Services Administration (GSA) will assume the EEO services on behalf of the AFRH. Any employee that seeks EEO counseling or has a need to file an EEO grievance should contact the GSA.

The primary purpose of the Act is to improve Federal Agency accountability for violations of the anti-discrimination and whistleblower protection laws related to employment and to ensure that employees, applicants for employment, and former employees are notified of their rights under anti-discrimination laws and the Whistleblower Protection Act.
